‘The Valley’ Season 3 Cast Shakeup: Who’s In, Who’s Out, and Who’s Still a Maybe

As “The Valley” gears up for its highly anticipated season 3, the Bravo hit is undergoing a major cast reshuffling that’s already sparking buzz across the Bravosphere. With filming set to begin in just a few weeks, a mix of returning faces, new additions, and notable absences promises to shake up the dynamic of the reality series like never before.

From Jax Taylor’s surprising exit to the uncertain status of several significant others, here’s everything we know about who’s in—and who’s out—of “The Valley” season 3.

Jax Taylor Bows Out of ‘The Valley’ Amid Sobriety Journey

One of the most shocking developments heading into season 3 is the departure of Jax Taylor. A foundational cast member since the show’s debut, Taylor announced in a statement on July 16 that he is “stepping away from the next season of ‘The Valley’” to focus on his mental health and sobriety.

“After an incredibly challenging year and many honest conversations with my team and producers, I’ll be stepping away,” Taylor, 46, said. “Right now, my focus needs to be on my sobriety, my mental health and coparenting.”

Taylor’s decision blindsided both viewers and his castmates. An insider told People that they expected Taylor to be a part of the new season. However, an executive producer told “The Hollywood Reporter” that Taylor’s absence won’t negatively affect the show.

“We did spend half the season without him, and that period of time was really full and rich… I think it’s going to be different, but I don’t think different is a bad thing.”

Taylor’s estranged wife and fellow cast member, Brittany Cartwright, responded to the news on “Watch What Happens Live,” calling it “a great decision by everyone.” Cartwright, who filed for divorce in August 2024, has been open about the toll Taylor’s addiction took on their family.

“He was just so aggressive and horrible to me, yelling at me in front of our son,” she said.

Who’s Returning and Who’s Still on the Fence?

Despite Taylor’s exit, many of “The Valley’s” core cast members are returning for season 3. Kristen Doute and her boyfriend Luke Broderick, Danny Booko and wife Nia Sanchez, Jason and Janet Caperna, Brittany Cartwright, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, Jasmine Goode, and Zack Wickham are all confirmed as full-time cast members.

Per Bravo and Cocktails, Lally’s partner, Lacy Nicole, will also appear on the show, although she is reportedly not confirmed as filming yet. Similarly, Saniei’s ex-boyfriend, Aaron, is currently not filming, though things could still change before production begins.

Benji (Wickham’s boyfriend) and Melissa (a new girlfriend, whose partner has not been identified) are expected to appear but will not be promoted to full-time roles. Additionally, a new couple is set to join the cast, though their identities remain under wraps for now.

Vanderpump and ‘The Valley’ Crossover? Not This Time

Fans hoping for more “Vanderpump Rules” cameos this season may be disappointed. Producers are reportedly listening closely to viewer feedback and have decided to scale back crossovers. As of now, Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz will not be appearing in season 3.

However, Scheana Shay and her husband Brock Davies are the most likely alums to return in a part-time capacity, though final decisions have not been made. Given the show’s expanding narrative and evolving cast dynamics, it appears “The Valley” is focused on carving out its own identity, distinct from its Vanderpump roots.

Seasons 1 and 2 of “The Valley” are now streaming on Peacock.
