Sutton Stracke Reveals Fierce Way She Plans to Protect Her Children

Sutton Stracke said she will be closely “watching” what goes on in her ex-husband Christian Stracke’s personal life. During a January 2025 appearance on Sirius XM’s “Jeff Lewis Live,” “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”, Stracke admitted she wants to be prepared if her wealthy ex remarries.

Stracke, who shares children Porter, Philip, and James with her ex-husband, previously confirmed that she received $300,000 per month in spousal support—after taxes, according to BravoTV.com. While that settlement amount was determined when the two divorced, Stracke told Lewis she wants to ensure her three kids are taken care of even if her ex marries his new girlfriend.

While speaking with Lewis, Stracke revealed that she and her ex joined their son for a trip to St. Barts for his 21st birthday. “But my ex-husband brought his girlfriend, and she has four children, and I do believe that they are going to get married,” Stracke added. The Bravo TV personality admitted that the whole scene had her questioning her ex.

“All of a sudden, the topic of, ‘What’s going to happen to the money when he dies,’ came up and, you know, you do have to kind of look out for things like this,” she explained, noting that she does have two life insurance polices for her wealthy ex. “I’m not stupid,” she added.

“He brought up the word ‘inheritance,’ not me. But I said I will be watching,” she revealed. “I’m gonna be watching…what is happening with everyone involved, because my children come first.”

“If you don’t think I’m gonna be watching over and making sure my children get their fair share, which is the biggest share,” she added.

Stracke said her ex didn’t get into it with her. “He didn’t say anything. We stopped the conversation,” she admitted. “Money is a very, very taboo subject.”

Stracke previously addressed her large spousal support payments in a 2023 Instagram post as she celebrated the success of her company The Sutton Concept.  “And for any divorced women out there receiving spousal support: you deserve every penny, it’s yours. Now go make it even bigger! And it’s never too late. I believe in you,” she wrote.

Stracke has been vocal about how women should protect themselves in divorce. She previously spoke to her RHOBH co-star Kyle Richards about the need to protect herself financially. Richards has been separated from her rich husband Mauricio Umansky for nearly two years but has yet to file for divorce.

In the RHOBH season 14 episode “A Sobering Separation,” Richards claimed she is sure things won’t get ugly between her and her amicable ex.

“I just think when it comes to money, people can be different,” Stracke warned her.

“Well, listen, I trust in that sense, because everything we have is 50/50 and yes, of course, The Agency is also mine,’ Richards said, before noting that her ex wrote about her involvement in his business in his 2023 book The Dealmaker.”

In a confessional, Stracke laughed off Richards’ assumptions. “I don’t see the book being used as evidence in divorce court,” she cracked. “Those forensic people are gonna come in there and burn that book. The lesson is very clear coming out of my marriage, men do not like parting with their money.”

“Kyle needs to get a grip and go talk to an attorney. Quickly! Run, don’t walk.” Stracke added.

Stracke told Richards directly that she should file for divorce ASAP to protect herself. “If you go on to do something, from the date of filing, that’s yours,” she told the RHOBH OG.
