Something big happened at the ”Summer House” reunion. During an Amazon Livestream Q&A with fans, series star Jesse Solomon addressed the upcoming season 9 reunion and teased that something happened that no one saw coming.
“I would say there was, like, a big announcement that we were all very surprised by,” Solomon told fans. “But I can’t tell you what.”
Solomon went on to praise the women on the summertime Bravo reality show as being “seasoned reunion queens.”
Veteran cast member Lindsay Hubbard also hinted that something unexpected took place at the reunion taping last month. “I think we hit every emotion at the reunion,” Hubbard told Us Weekly. “I think that there are a lot of things that you might expect to happen, but things are unexpected as an outcome.”
Fans Speculated About the ‘Summer House’ Reunion Surprise
A screen recording of Solomon’s comment was posted on the @facereality16 Instagram account along with speculation about what it could mean. It was noted that the reunion seating chart released by Bravo seemed suspect, and also that the cast did not get screeners of the full season before they gathered for the reunion in April.
Fans speculated in the comment section, with many speculating that the announcement could have something to do with Lindsay Hubbard, Paige DeSorbo, Amanda Batula, or newcomer Imrul Hassan.
“I think it has something to do with Imrul? He was completely edited out of last nights episode,” one fan speculated.
“Imrul literally got edited out of the entire last episode and he was there the entire weekend! …It feels weird,” another agreed.
“Paige’s last summer in the house,” another fan wrote.
“Amanda is pregnant. First chair said it all!” another guessed, while another speculated, “Amanda and Kyle are separating.”
“Lindsay moving to RHONY,” wrote another fan.
“Lindsay going to Housewives. Paige leaving,” added another.
“It’s going to be Lindsay on new show,” added another “Summer House” fan.
Both Lindsay Hubbard & Paige DeSorbo Have Hinted That They Could Leave ‘Summer House’

Hubbard has been a cast member on “Summer House” since its debut in 2017, while DeSorbo joined the show as a main cast member in season 3.
In December 2024, Hubbard gave birth to her first child. She has been vocal about the fact that her new role as a mom is not conducive to spending full weekends at the Hamptons party house where “Summer House” films. “Obviously, I’m not going to bring a 6-month-old to the house every weekend,” she told Vulture in an interview.
In a February 2025 interview on Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap,” Hubbard said she’s open to “any and all” opportunities for reality TV now that she is a mother—including a move to “The Real Housewives of New York City.”
As for DeSorbo, in April, she told Glamour she knows there’s “an end date” for her “at some point.” “With the lifestyle of ‘Summer House’ specifically, I’m probably not fitting into the original show idea anymore,” the 32-year-old admitted. “Whenever I see a comment that’s like, ‘She’s a little too old to be on this,’ I’m like, ‘Yeah, I kind of am.'”
“I’m probably not as fun to party with as a 25-year-old, and I get that,” the “Giggly Squad” co-host continued. “I would stay on reality TV, but it’s only fun and real if it’s your lifestyle, and as I get older, I am straying away more and more from partying every weekend. I really can’t drink two nights in a row.”
DeSorbo added, “I was actually nervous for this season to come out because I felt like I didn’t do anything this summer because I was so tired from working.”
