Bravo Star Makes Surprise Return After Being Missing From Their Hit Show

Steven “Steve” McBee Sr. recently made his highly anticipated return to “McBee Dynasty: Real American” Cowboys during season 2, episode 7, marking his first on-camera appearance after being notably absent from the beginning of the current season.

The patriarch of the McBee family finally reunited with his four sons during a business trip to Nashville, creating an emotional moment for both the family and viewers who had been wondering about his whereabouts throughout the season’s earlier episodes.

Emotional McBee Family Reunion in Nashville

Steve’s comeback occurred during a special dinner celebrating his son Jesse’s birthday, where all four McBee brothers had gathered while conducting business meetings related to their beef cattle operation. The reunion took place at a steakhouse in Nashville, where Steve was joined by his sons Steven Jr., Jesse, Cole, and Brayden.

“Seeing my dad for the first time [in a while] is obviously amazing. I miss him and I miss hanging out with him,” Jesse shared in a confessional. The emotional weight of the reunion was evident as the family had been managing their farming operations without their father’s direct involvement.

Steven Jr. had been shouldering the responsibility of running the family business after Steve stepped away at the end of Season 1, following the company’s failure to secure a venture capital loan. Steve made the decision to leave the farm in Steven Jr.’s hands during the dramatic Season 1 finale.

The dinner also included Galyna Saltkovska, the Chief Financial Officer of McBee Farm & Cattle Co., and Steve’s ex-girlfriend, creating an interesting dynamic at the table. Despite their complicated history, the interaction remained cordial as Galyna asked Steve about his recent activities.

“Trying to wrap up the projects out here, get back where I could be a burr under everybody’s saddle again every day,” Steve replied. Galyna told cameras that it felt “extremely good just to be joking [and] laughing” again with her former romantic partner.

Addressing His Absence From Season 2

Steve’s limited presence in Season 2 stems from serious legal circumstances that have affected both his personal life and his family’s television appearances. In November 2024, Steve pleaded guilty in a multi-million-dollar crop insurance fraud case and currently faces up to 30 years in federal prison. His sentencing is scheduled for September 9.

Steven Jr. recently explained to People the reasoning behind his father’s reduced screen time this season. “Just out of how delicate that situation is, it’s still ongoing and we’re hoping to have it wrapped up here before the end of the year, but just wanted to keep him out of any sort of public eye or anything, just until that situation is resolved,” he said. “Just to protect him and protect our family.”

Despite the legal challenges and television absence, the McBee family has maintained their close relationships. Steven Jr. revealed that Steve continues to actively involve himself in their daily lives. “He makes dinner four or five nights out of the week,” the “Joe Millionaire” alum shared with the outlet. “Our entire family, including my mom [Kristi McBee], is over there at his house.”

The return episode also featured dramatic moments involving Steve’s current relationship with Masha, including heated phone conversations and unexpected confrontations that provided viewers with insight into his personal struggles during this challenging period.

“We’re all still enjoying family time together, love and support him and here for him through the entire thing,” Steven Jr. added, showing how the family remains close despite the circumstances.

“McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys” continues to air Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
