Seth Rogen Gives His Full Take on ‘The Valley’ Reunion on WWHL

Seth Rogen didn’t hold back when sharing his candid opinions about “The Valley’s” dramatic second season during a recent appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.” “The Studio” star offered his unfiltered commentary on the show’s most controversial moments and cast departures.

The 43-year-old actor and self-proclaimed Bravo superfan weighed in on everything from the ongoing Danny Booko storylines to Jax Taylor’s exit from the series. He provided viewers with his honest perspective on the reality show’s most talked-about developments.

Addressing the Danny Booko Controversy

First, host Andy Cohen brought up the sensitive topic surrounding Danny Booko and the discussions about sexual assault allegations. Rogen acknowledged how complicated the controversy was. He noted that cast member Jasmine Goode seemed uncomfortable with how the show handled the situation.

“It seemed as though she wasn’t a hundred percent on board even with that being the term being bandied about and the whole dark identity thing is a little confusing as a viewer, I’ll have to say, ’cause very little of it is caught on camera,” Rogen explained during the show.

The actor pointed out what he saw as inconsistencies in how co-stars treated different cast members. “It seems like they have a real vendetta against Danny, Jason, and Janet yet are very defensive of Jax,” he observed. “And very much advocates for Jax who is outwardly abusive if you ask me.”

Rogen expressed confusion about the selective criticism. He stated, “And so it seems odd to draw a line in the sand when it comes to Danny, yet be so outwardly defensive of Jax who is appalling, in my opinion.”

Thoughts on Jax Taylor’s Departure

When Cohen asked about Taylor’s announcement that he wouldn’t be returning for the next season, Rogen expressed support for the decision. “No, Jax’s just so toxic at this point, it seems, and he’s such a narcissist that craves attention,” he said. “It seems wrong to give it to him by allowing him to be on television.”

In a separate interview with People, Rogen elaborated on his feelings about Taylor’s exit from the show. “I don’t think Jax should come back at this point,” he stated. “He’s a pretty, maybe, just bad person. We can say that he’s been that way for 20 years on television or however long it’s been — he doesn’t seem like he’s going to change.”

The actor also shared his reaction to watching the reunion episodes, telling the outlet: “I did watch the first episode of the reunion already this morning, and, I mean, he was so [expletive] up. What a [expletive]. Yeah, a very bad, bad, bad character.”

Taylor announced his departure from “The Valley” in July, stating that his focus needed to be “on my sobriety, my mental health, and co-parenting relationship.” The decision reportedly caught his castmates off guard, with sources saying the “cast was absolutely blindsided by this news.”

Rogen also touched on other show dynamics, including his thoughts on Janet Caperna’s role in the drama. He even discussed the online discovery that Taylor was wearing lifts during the seated reunion. He called the lifts revelation “the craziest thing ever,” noting that it only drew attention to something he hadn’t previously considered.

When Cohen asked about potentially joining the show, Rogen jokingly said he’d consider appearing if producers offered him a role.

“The Valley” continues to create lots of buzz among Bravo fans. Season 3 is expected to look quite different following Taylor’s departure and other potential cast changes.
