Scheana Shay is naming names—and spilling plenty of tea—in her new memoir, “My Good Side,” released Tuesday.
The “Vanderpump Rules” alum, 40, gets candid about her Hollywood dating history, revealing a long list of past hookups that includes actors, musicians, and professional athletes.
The Jaw-Dropping List
“I said to myself, ‘Okay Scheana, you’ve tried dating (or at least hanging out and hooking up with) all of these celebrities,’” Shay writes, per an excerpt obtained by Us Weekly.
Among the stars she mentions are Jesse Metcalfe, Eddie Cibrian, John Mayer, Shemar Moore, Josh Hopkins, Shane West, Jesse McCartney, JC Chasez, Adrian Grenier, Ricardo Chavira, William Tell, two unnamed actors from “The Notebook,” and several NFL, NBA, and MLB players.
“It’s time to switch things up and date someone who’s under the radar,” she continues. “I didn’t want any of the fanfare or complications that came with being linked to someone famous. I wanted to be with someone who was grounded.”
From Wild Nights to Mom Life
Shay reflects on how much her life—and the world of celebrity—has changed since her early 2000s party days. She’s now married to Brock Davies and shares a daughter, Summer Moon, with him.
“I feel like if a 40-year-old Scheana was single and not a mom, I couldn’t get the guys I used to get. I don’t know how I did it in my early 20s—people don’t believe me!” she told Us Weekly.
She also opened up about how social media has transformed celebrity culture.
“Social media has completely changed the life of celebrity, privacy, going out,” Shay said. “Any night you could be at a club and like, ‘Oh, I’m at Leonardo DiCaprio’s table.’ And then Cuba Gooding Jr. walks up. Now Justin Timberlake’s here—and I’m just the girl at the table. What is life?”
Shay shared more details about specific past relationships, describing Metcalfe as her college crush turned reality. “He was a dreamboat—still is,” she said of the “Desperate Housewives” actor. “It was a lot, really quickly, but he was an absolute sweetheart.”
Her brief relationship with Shemar Moore also made an impression. “I remember being like, ‘Oh my God, Malcolm,’” she said of seeing the “The Young and the Restless” star at a Super Bowl party. “Years later, the two locked eyes—and ended up spending time together at his place.”
She even recalled an awkward moment with John Mayer years after their fling. “One time I awkwardly gave him a hug,” she said. “The last time I saw him, it was a handshake.” She later revealed she discussed Mayer with Andy Cohen during a commercial break on “Watch What Happens Live.”
In another revelation, Shay described Eddie Cibrian as an ideal match, “If you were to ask me when I was growing up what my exact type was, to a tee it was Eddie—tall, dark, and handsome, with dimples,” Shay wrote. “The second we made eye contact, he smiled at me with those dimples, and I melted.”
“My Good Side” is available now wherever books are sold.
