‘Southern Charm’ Star Offers Hopeful Message for Craig Conover

One of Craig Conover’s co-stars hopes he will be able to make changes as he moves on from his split from Paige DeSorbo.

In an interview with Us Weekly, “Southern Charm” cast member Rodrigo Reyes said he is hopeful that the Sewing Down South founder will be better able to “stop and reflect and be there for his friends” now that he’s not with DeSorbo.

“Craig is a very busy person,” Reyes told the outlet. “His business is growing, expanding, and he’s very driven in that sense. And I think that’s kind of, like, his ambition.  …Now that Craig’s single, [I hope he] spends more time with his friends [and] we can get back to us just having a good time.”

“That’s what I’m hopeful for, and I just want everyone to have a good time,” Reyes added.

Craig Conover May Not Be ‘Single’

Conover’s split from DeSorbo turned messy pretty quickly.

During a March 27 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Conover said he has “done a lot of work to just move forward” following his split from DeSorbo after three years of dating.

He also dished that he is dating someone new four months later. “And I’m really happy,” he added. “You know, when I date, I tend to date only one person at a time. So, I’ve been seeing someone, and it’s been, I’ve been reminded that the universe works in crazy ways, but everything happens for a reason.”

On the “Southern Charm” season 10 reunion, several cast members admitted they are sometimes “afraid” of Conover because they don’t know how he will react to things.

On the “Southern Charm After Show,” co-star Austen Kroll questioned why he still walks on “eggshells” around Conover despite Conover’s claims that he’s happy. “Madison [LeCroy] and I talked too, and Madison was like, ‘Don’t tell him,'” Kroll added, per BravoTV.com. “And I was like, ‘What?’ And she was like, ‘I’m afraid of Craig.’ I was like, ‘You know, we all are, because no one knows when he’s going to blow his lid.'”

In the Us interview, Reyes also shared insight into why he and several other “Southern Charm” cast members admitted they can be afraid of Conover. Reyes speculated that Conover’s serious nature is “probably” what made the cast hesitant to set him off.

“Craig wants things his way,” Reyes claimed. “Listen, I get that. I can be the same way, and sometimes that can come across as being domineering, I guess. …I just feel like sometimes it’s easy to take a step back [and] not take yourself so seriously.”
