Paris Hilton Shares Family Update After Losing Home to Fire

Paris Hilton welcomed a new member to her family after losing her Malibu home in the wildfires that raged through Los Angeles County in January 2025.

In an interview with TMZ, the daughter of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kathy Hilton gave an update on her family—which already includes a menagerie of pets. Hilton revealed that she plans to adopt a puppy that was rescued from the fires.

Hilton and her husband Carter Reum share children Phoenix, 2, and London, 1. In January 2025, the family was forced to evacuate their Beverly Hills home at the height of the danger. Hilton found out her Malibu home was destroyed after seeing the coverage of the Palisades Fire on TV, she shared on Instagram.

Hilton has used her platform and other resources to help other fire victims, including animals that lost their homes.

Paris Hilton Is Adopting Zuzu, the Dog She Fostered After The Fires

In the aftermath of the fires, Hilton has worked tirelessly to offer her support in any way she can. The mom of two posted to Instagram to reveal that she volunteered at Pasadena Humane. Hilton spent time with animals displaced by the LA fires and actually took in one of the dogs.

“I jumped at the opportunity to foster Zuzu!” Hilton shared with fans. “As an animal lover, I am heartbroken by those who have lost their furry friends or have had to give them up due to being displaced. 🥹 I want to do my part and take care of Zuzu and I encourage others who are able to reach out to their local shelter to see how they can support them!”

Speaking with TMZ, Hilton said, “We love Zuzu.”

“His family had to surrender him because they lost their home to the fire in Altadena, and I was fostering him this past week. And we’ve all just fallen in love with him so we’re gonna adopt him,” she shared.

Paris Hilton Took a ‘Mindful Moment’ With Her Dogs

Hilton’s puppy love has helped her get through the past few difficult weeks. On January 19, she posted a video of her son and two of the family’s other dogs as she took in a sweet moment.

“Some sleepy Pheeny and puppy footage for your feed,” Hilton captioned the Instagram Reel of her sleeping son and puppies, Diamond and Baby. “Through everything that’s going on around us, sometimes we need an adorable reminder to take a mindful moment for ourselves.”

When Hilton spoke to TMZ, she was also asked if she plans to rebuild her home in Malibu. She previously shared that there were so many family memories at her Malibu home. The house was also “where Phoenix took his first steps,” she said.

“Carter will be dealing with all of that,” Hilton said of the possibility of a rebuild.
