After seven drama-filled seasons in the Hamptons, Paige DeSorbo is officially saying goodbye to “Summer House.” The Bravo star confirmed her exit ahead of season 10, and in a new interview, she got real about the emotional and personal reasons that led her to walk away from the reality series.
Paige DeSorbo Knew Season 9 Would Be Her Last
During the August 4 episode of the “Bravo by Gays” podcast, DeSorbo opened up about what filming “Summer House” season 9 felt like—and how she sensed early on that her time with the show was coming to an end.
“I definitely felt different leaving last summer,” Paige told host Larry Crespo. “There was something where I had this gut feeling where I was just like, ‘This is probably the last time I’ll ever leave this house.’”
Following her nationwide “Giggly Squad” podcast tour and her public breakup with “Southern Charm” star Craig Conover, Paige realized she didn’t have it in her to return.
“When it came time to start thinking about the summer, I really just had a moment where I was like, ‘Wait a minute, I can’t go film a TV show… like, I’ll literally die,’” she joked, before adding that the physical and mental toll was real.

While many fans assumed DeSorbo’s new loungewear brand, Daphne, would keep her tied to Bravo for promotion, she revealed that personal well-being ultimately outweighed career strategy.
“You would think, like, Daphne was coming out, I’d want to promote it on the show,” she said. “But just the way I felt personally, it overrode anything professionally with Daphne.”
The 32-year-old also admitted that her lifestyle just doesn’t fit the house party vibe anymore.
“I wouldn’t have been able to come this summer and be truly authentic,” she shared. “Because I’ve worked so much this year, I don’t want to go out on a Friday and Saturday night. It’s not my vibe anymore and I feel like I was taking a spot from a younger girl who should have the same opportunity I had when I was 25.”
Paige DeSorbo Said Goodbye on Her Own Terms
On June 5, DeSorbo confirmed her exit via Instagram Stories, writing: “Being part of this show has been one of the most rewarding chapters of my life — the friendships, the drama, the giggles, all unforgettable. You’ve seen me grow up over these last 7 summers.”
She added, “But like all good things (and some bad decisions), it’s time for this chapter to close.”
DeSorbo closed her message with gratitude to the fans, her castmates, and the NBCU family: “I never could’ve imagined what this journey would turn into — and how many of you would be along for the ride. And you haven’t seen the last of me, I promise.”
