Olivia Flowers revealed why she reached out to Taylor Ann Green months after wrapping their final season together on “Southern Charm.”
Speaking with Decider in February 2025, Flowers admitted that a producer asked her to text her former friend because she was going through a rough time.
“I had one of the producers reach out to me and just were kind of like telling me like, ‘Hey, I know you and Taylor aren’t in the best place, but she’s kind of going through it. I think it would mean a lot if you reach out and just let her know you’re thinking about her and you’re there,’” Flowers told the outlet. “And so, I just sent that, texted her, and reconnected and that was that.”
Flowers also noted that while she hasn’t seen Green in person, she is open to it now that they’ve cleared the air. She did admit she doesn’t see herself ever being as close with Green as she used to be, but added, “I do want her to do well regardless of what our status is.”
Flowers’ friendship with Green hit a rough patch in season 9 when Green shared a kiss with Flowers’ ex, Austen Kroll. Green is now dating Gaston Rojas. In September 2024, Flowers got engaged to her new beau Alex Williams, People magazine reported.

Green was asked about her relationship with Flowers during a February 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.” After a virtual fan asked her if she congratulated Flowers on her engagement, Green replied, “I’m very, very happy for Olivia and where she’s going in life right now.”
“We actually have reconnected. She actually reached out to me when we started filming. so it was very good to hear from her,” she continued. “She was checking in on me. I’m glad we were able to [reconnect]. I wish you guys could see it.”
Green told host Andy Cohen that she does not ever see Flowers around the Charleston, South Carolina area and has not met her fiancé. “She’s kind of in and out,” Green noted of her former co-star.
Olivia Flowers Was ‘Super Bummed’ Not to Be Asked Back for Season 10

Flowers was a main cast member for two seasons of “Southern Charm.” But during an appearance on the “Scheananagins With Scheana Shay” podcast in July 2024, she confirmed that she wasn’t asked back for season 10.
“I’m not on this new season,” she told podcast host Scheana Shay. “I went from feeling pretty confident and excited for the next [season] to then being a little blindsided.”
Flowers explained that she had been spending a lot of time in Texas, where her new boyfriend lived, and that producers noticed her life had changed.
“I was super bummed,” she admitted on Shay’s podcast. “I got the call like, a few weeks before filming. The production company was just like, ‘You don’t really seem to be in Charleston that much. We’re noticing on your Instagram you’re in Texas, you’ve got this new boyfriend, and it just seems like you’re choosing a different path.’”
