Madison LeCroy received a sweet message from her ex, Austen Kroll, after she announced her pregnancy in February 2025.
The “Southern Charm” star, who is now married to Brett Randle, told E! News that Kroll sent her a text after she shared her baby news—and that he was genuinely thrilled for her.
“He sent me this long text like, ‘Look at how far we’ve come. Five years ago, we’re arguing and now everybody’s growing up and starting families and talking about getting married and already getting married,’” LeCroy shared. “He made me believe that he’s super happy for me, and I believe that, so I’ll take it.”
LeCroy and Kroll had a tumultuous on-and-off relationship that ended in 2020. At Bravo’s Fan Fest in November 2024, LeCroy admitted she “never” thought she would be friends with Kroll following their messy breakup. “But you know, he’s growing on me and at this point, I’ll pray for him,” she cracked.
LeCroy married Randle in 2022, and Kroll is now dating Audrey Pratt.
Madison Said Austen Kroll Would Be a ‘Guncle’ to Her Baby
LeCroy first shared her pregnancy news with fans in an Instagram post on February 5. But in an Amazon Livestream, she revealed that she told her co-stars the news while filming the “Southern Charm” reunion.
LeCroy told E! News that all of her “Southern Charm” co-stars are happy for her and are “excited to play aunt and uncle.” She also revealed that she told Kroll that he would a “guncle” to her baby. “I don’t think he understood what I was saying, but it’s okay,” she added. “My jokes sometimes don’t land, but we’ll tell him later.”
A “guncle” is a gay male who is named an “honorary uncle.” Kroll may not have gotten the “guncle” reference, but he has joked that he’s LeCroy’s gay bestie, despite not being gay.
In a “Southern Charm” season 10 episode, the exes met up for drinks to exchange gossip. The two enjoyed a friendly banter that fans never thought they’d see.
“Now Madison treats me like her GBF. Take the relationship out of it, and we could have been hanging out years ago,” Kroll shared in a confessional.
LeCroy noted that she and Kroll were better as “girlfriends.”
Austen Kroll is Still Not in a Great Place With Olivia Flowers
BravoWhile Kroll made amends with LeCroy, the same cannot be said of his relationship with his subsequent ex, Olivia Flowers. The two dated during season 8 of “Southern Charm” but had a bad ending in season 8. In September, Flowers announced her engagement to fiancé Alex Williams.
During a January 2025 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Kroll admitted he did not congratulate Flowers on her engagement news. “It’s not a proud answer for me, but I just feel like there is so much animosity from her towards me last year that I thought the best thing to do for me was to distance myself,” he explained. “And then of course, you know she didn’t come back to the show, which I wish that you she would have so that we could have, you know, reconciled.”
After host Andy Cohen pointed out that Kroll could have reached out to Flowers without the cameras around, he agreed. “You’re right, and so that’s why I’m saying not like a proud answer,” the “Southern Charm” star reiterated.“I did not reach out to her about her engagement.”
