“Southern Hospitality” stars Emmy Sharrett and Will Kulp are officially engaged as of May 5. People revealed on May 9 that Kulp proposed while the two were vacationing in the French Riviera.
“I love everything about Will. I love the way he loves, I love how he thinks, I love his intelligence, his family. I love how hardworking and determined he is. I love that we have the same birthday, I love the way he says my name and I love waking up next to him,” Sharrett gushed of her new fiancé.
She added, “He is my best friend and soulmate. I love that we get to spend the rest of our lives together.”
Kulp said, “I wanted everything to be perfect for Emmy. She is the most important person in my world.”
The law student contined, “Emmy has been my rock and my cheerleader for the past 4 years, and she has carried me through the challenges of law school. She is my best friend and the love of my life. She has shown me how to see the world in new ways.”
Sharrett revealed that she and Kulp were headed to dinner when he suggested taking pictures on the beach. He soon popped the question and presented her with a custom-designed emerald-cut diamond ring.
“I had a hunch it was going to happen because Will had been acting funny all day and he was abnormally concerned about our outfits,” Sharrett told People.
She shared, “I wouldn’t change a thing. It was so beautiful.”
Sharrett and Kulp Overcame a Tough ‘Southern Hospitality’ Season 3
Sharrett and Kulp’s relationship came into question during “Southern Hospitality” season 3 when rumors swirled around that the hopeful lawyer had been unfaithful while in school.
The “Republic” server disputed the accusations and stood by Kulp, who also denied the rumors. “Will has 110 percent been faithful to me. I do not believe Will cheated on me at all for one second,” Sharrett insisted to Us Weekly in January.
Sharrett also addressed how Kulp vented to their friend group about her recent fitness kick, which played out in season 3.
“I knew about what Will had done already, and I don’t think people knew I knew because I never talked to my friends about it. A lot of it is also being exaggerated, as you can imagine,” she told Us Weekly.
Despite drama with their “Southern Hospitality” friends, Sharrett and Kulp have received well wishes on their engagement.
“If you like it, then you shoulda put a ring on it,” Michols Pena wrote on Instagram. Sharrett’s good friend Maddi Reese shared, “So happy for you!!”
