“Summer House” star Lindsay Hubbard is opening up about her decision to not immediately tell her boyfriend, Dr. Turner Kufe, that she was pregnant with his child.
During a January 2025 episode of the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast, Hubbard said she realized she was pregnant two months after she began dating Kufe. After taking a pregnancy test in March 2024, she “called [her] OB’s office” to make an appointment for a blood test to confirm her pregnancy.
Hubbard said she headed off to Mexico for her best friend’s wedding soon after she took the blood test. According to Hubbard, she received an email that confirmed she was five weeks pregnant while she was on the plane to Mexico. She said she decided to not mention her pregnancy to Kufe until she returned from her trip.
“This is not a phone call. This is not a text message to your boyfriend of two months,” said Hubbard during the podcast interview.
In addition, Hubbard said she was concerned how her boyfriend would react to her pregnancy.
“I was terrified that weekend. I was like, ‘This is such a beautiful relationship. And this is going to rock everything. And I don’t know how he’s going to react,'” said Hubbard.
Lindsay Hubbard Shared How Her Boyfriend Reacted to Her Pregnancy
During the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast episode, Hubbard said that she told her boyfriend that she was pregnant once she came back to New York. She said she told Kufe to not feel pressure to be involved in the child’s life. According to Hubbard, he assured her that he would be an equal partner in parenthood.
While speaking to Entertainment Tonight in October 2024, Hubbard said that her pregnancy “was a shock for” her and her boyfriend. She also said they has several conversations about their future the week after she informed him that he would be a father.
“It’s a lot of pressure. It’s a lot of pressure on a relationship,” said Hubbard to the publication.
She also noted that she has been vocal about wanting to be a mother.
“Anyone who has watched ‘Summer House’ from the beginning knows my life’s goal has always been to be a mother. And have a family. And that’s finally, finally happening,” said Hubbard during the interview.

Hubbard announced she and Kufe welcomed their daughter, Gemma Britt Kufe, in a December 8 Instagram. Quite a few Bravo celebrities showered Hubbard with congratulations in the comments section.
“Congratulations Lindsey💕💕💕,” wrote Melissa Gorga.
“💕 love you Linds! Congrats mom and dad!! 💖 and welcome to the world, baby Gemma Britt! i have a friend loading for you xoxo,” added Kristen Doute, who is currently pregnant with her first child.
“I’m so happy for you, mama. Congratulations 💕,” shared Lala Kent.
“Congratulations so so happy for you!!!!!” commented Stassi Schroeder.
