Kyle Stillie Makes Surprising Statement About ‘Below Deck’ Guest Hookup

Kyle Stillie is once again speaking out about the rumors that he hooked up with a charter guest during Season 12 of “Below Deck.”

The deckhand, who has alternated between hinting at a fling and firmly denying it, opened Episode 12 by acknowledging the fallout from the scandal.

Kyle Stillie Addresses Ongoing Charter Guest Hookup Rumors

Speaking candidly during a confessional, Stillie admitted, “It’s a wake-up call in a professional sense.”

The deckhand revealed that being pressured by fellow crew members Damo Yorg and Fraser Olender to admit wrongdoing shook his confidence about who he could “trust” aboard St. David. “It just proves that I have gotta watch where I keep my alliances,” he added.

By the end of the August 18 episode, however, his stance grew more confusing. While dining with his castmates off charter, he raised eyebrows with a toast that sounded like a veiled admission.

“It’s been a pleasure. I’m glad I’m still with you guys,” he began. “Sometimes you get away with things in life, and … I’m really, really proud of the fact I got away with something that I wasn’t supposed to get away with.”

Fraser and Damo React to Kyle’s Comments

Despite his shifting remarks, Stillie has publicly denied that anything happened with the married charter guest, Helen.

During the episode, he told Captain Kerry Titheradge, “nothing happened at all.” He repeated the denial on the August 11 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” where he told Andy Cohen the hookup “definitely [did] not” occur.

“I’ll be honest with you, Andy, there was a point in time where I was in that sea where I thought potentially something may have happened. But nothing did happen,” Stillie clarified.

His fellow yachties weren’t convinced. On Episode 12, Fraser and Damo noted that Stillie’s choice of words made him sound “guilty,” prompting further conflict at the group dinner. “I really thought that f–kin’ Fraser would’ve really, you know, done me in,” Stillie said, before blaming both Fraser and Damo for pushing the rumors into Captain Kerry’s hands.

“It’s f–king both your fault,” he shouted, sparking Fraser to fire off expletives in French before storming away. “I’m not playing this game,” Fraser fumed.

Kyle Opens Up About the Fallout

Outside of the drama, Stillie admitted the rumors have taken a toll on his emotional state.

Later in the episode, he confided in Jess Theron about struggling with Captain Kerry’s directive to keep his distance from guests. “I feel like I’m very much under the microscope,” he said. “I’m just trying to do the best I can to stay away from them without looking like I’m being rude.”

In a separate chat with Damo, he added, “I just feel awkward every time I’m around the guests now. … But these are the actions of my consequences.”

As Season 12 continues, Stillie remains at the center of speculation. Whether his words amount to a slip or just a poorly chosen toast, his crewmates — and viewers — remain divided on what really happened.
