Kate Chastain Shows Off New Photos of Her Home

“Below Deck” alum Kate Chastain is turning her Florida bungalow into a true reflection of her style!

Chastain recently shared on her Instagram story an image of her striking new awnings at the entrance of her recently purchased “dream home,” where she lives with her toddler son Sullivan, according to The Daily Dish.

The light-green house, topped with red roof tiles and framed by palm trees and outdoor lanterns, now features matching striped awnings that, by surprise, perfectly echoed her black-and-white striped dress in a recent Instagram story mirror selfie.

“I didn’t even plan this, but on my way out the door, I noticed I exactly matched the awnings I was having installed yesterday,” she captioned, complete with a crumpled-face emoji.

And while she’s smitten, she admitted the home is still a work in progress: “Still have to change the trim color but LOVE my new awnings. It felt like my house needed lashes.”

From Stew to Homeowner Bliss

Earlier this year, the 42-year-old gushed about her historical home while speaking with The Daily Dish.

“I think what makes this house special is I’m not a person who likes modern interior design. Like [Below Deck alum] Ben Robinson, for example, loves modern. I feel like it’s cold and too perfect,” she told the outlet. “I like something with a little personality, a little imperfections. [It] makes it interesting and beautiful. I’m just really happy.”

She shared a series of images of the new place with the Daily Dish.

The former chief stew added that she didn’t have to make many renovations and changes to the home as it was already changed by the previous owners.

“To have them already done that, it feels like I hired an interior designer before I even knew it,” she happily said. “I love her style. She did the work and then I get to reap the benefits.”

However, there is one area that Chastain plans on making changes.

She mentioned her sprawling backyard — lush with vines and ideal for entertaining — lacks one key feature: a pool.

Given Florida’s heat, Chastain said she’s considering installing a plunge pool someday.

She told the outlet she plans on making her son’s room “charming” and was thinking of keeping it simple with red and blue stripes.

She added how she can’t wait for all of the milestones and memories she will make in the home with her son.

“Especially now that Sullivan’s getting older, I’m really excited to do a little height chart on his door frame,” she added. “Cause I know we’re gonna be here for that many years to chart his growth, so that’s just really exciting and moving is exhausting so I’m happy to not be doing that for a long time.”
