Mellencamp’s estranged husband has been by her side in the hospital and posted the update on his Instagram story on February 13.
“So many people asking for updates. All I will say right now is surgery went well. That said, I’ve never seen @teddimellencamp in so much pain. She’s finally getting some needed rest. I know she is so grateful for the outpouring of love,” Arroyave wrote on his Instagram story.
Mellencamp revealed in an Instagram post on February 12 that she had several brain tumors, two of which were going to be surgically removed. She added that “the remaining tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
Since the diagnosis, she has been active on social media, updating her fans on her status. That included posting photos of her friends and family visiting, along with a video of her getting a buzz cut in preparation for the surgery.
Along with Arroyave, Mellencamp’s former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” castmate Kyle Richards and singer Morgan Wade spent time with her in the hospital.
