Denise Richards Bonds With a Famous Face on Her Reality Show Over Raising Kids as a Celebrity

Denise Richards’ latest guest on her reality show, “Denise Richards & Her Wild Things” was “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” friend Kathy Hilton, and they discussed raising kids as celebrities.

Richards revealed that her oldest daughter Sami Sheen was “out of control” when she was younger, to which Kathy related regarding Paris Hilton’s past.

“It’s very scary. Now, I couldn’t be prouder. Look what she’s done with her life,” Kathy told Richards in episode 5. “As bad as it was, she’s taken her pain and turned it into helping, into a purpose,” she added.

In a confessional, Richards said, “It’s not easy raising kids with a famous last name. One of the things that’s great about talking to Kathy Hilton is I’m sure my daughters feel extra pressure because their last name is Sheen and everyone knows the Hilton name.”

She continued, “It’s different than talking to someone that’s never gone through this.”

Richards Gets Support From Other Reality Stars

As a longtime celebrity, Richards told “ABC News” on March 14 that she sees herself as more than an actor. “I’m a mom, I’m a wife, a working mother.”

“I feel very grateful and blessed that I’ve been able to work in this business for as long as I have. I’ve been very lucky,” she said.

Richards’ friend Camille Meyer, who was married to Kelsey Grammer, also relates to being married to an actor, much like Richards. “We have a lot of similar experiences in regards to going through very public divorces.”

As for the controversial topic of Richards joining OnlyFans, Meyer said, “Good for her. You go girl.”

Richards said in the interview, “I do think it’s so very very wonderful that my daughter can be secure enough and just be herself and not worry about the judgment.”

Richards’ Daughters Are Used to Having Famous Parents

In February, Richards’ daughters told People in a video shared on TikTok that having famous parents was no big deal.

“People always say what is it like having famous parents, what is it like having parents in the public eye but I don’t know. Those are my parents. It’s not weird or anything,” Sami said.

Lola said, “I feel like a lot of people may assume that just because you’re famous … that you may have a perfect life and I always say that I don’t want anyone to ever compare themselves because you know, it’s just really not perfect.”
