Week two of “Big Brother 27” delivered unprecedented drama as multiple powers completely derailed the Head of Household’s original plans.
What started as a straightforward week targeting house outsiders quickly spiraled into chaos when secret abilities were activated throughout the game. Head of Household Jimmy Heagerty found his strategy completely upended as houseguests began revealing hidden powers, forcing major changes to his nominations.
The week’s events ultimately led to five different houseguests facing nomination, creating circumstances that left alliances scrambling to protect their members. Multiple former winners even made appearances to compete in competitions, adding more complexity to an already chaotic week.
Three new powers were introduced to throw the game into total chaos. The combination of these abilities, along with two separate Veto competitions, created a domino effect that changed the entire trajectory of Heagerty’s HOH reign.
After all the power plays and strategic maneuvering concluded, Amy Bingham became the second houseguest eliminated from “Big Brother 27.” Her journey ended after what she described as not getting a fair chance to compete.
“I feel like I didn’t get a chance to play the game,” Bingham told host Julie Chen Moonves after her elimination. She acknowledged that her connection to previous winner Rachel Reilly ultimately “hurt” her game.
Power Moves Change Everything
The week’s chaos began when multiple houseguests activated secret powers that forced Heagerty to make additional nominations. Keanu Soto used his “Mystery Competitor” power, which allowed Big Brother 20 winner Kaycee Clark to compete in the Power of Veto competition on his behalf.
Clark’s victory meant Soto could remove himself from the block, forcing Heagerty to name Bingham as a replacement nominee. The situation became even more complicated when Kelley Jorgensen revealed her own secret power.
Jorgensen successfully completed a solo puzzle challenge within the required timeframe, earning herself a second Power of Veto. She used this power to save herself from nomination, which forced Heagerty to name a fifth nominee: Will Williams.
This left three houseguests facing elimination: Adrian Rocha, Bingham, and Williams. The situation created tension throughout the house as alliances scrambled to protect their allies.
Rachel Reilly, Bingham’s closest supporter in the house, worked hard to keep her safe by arguing that Rocha would be a stronger competitor in future challenges. However, other houseguests viewed Bingham’s connection to the former winner as too dangerous to maintain.
Final Competition Determines Fate
The three nominees faced off in the live “BB Blockbuster” competition called “Puzzling Prints,” where they had to complete a fingerprint puzzle. Rocha demonstrated impressive puzzle-solving skills, quickly establishing his border pieces and maintaining his lead throughout the challenge.
Rocha successfully finished his puzzle first, earning safety and removing himself from the final nomination. This left Bingham and Williams as the final two nominees facing eviction.
During their final pleas to the house, Bingham chose to speak positively about Williams rather than campaign negatively against him. She also expressed her desire to remain in the competition.
Williams took a different approach, stating that his work in the house spoke for itself and that he would “understand” if houseguests chose to keep Bingham instead.
Despite Reilly’s efforts to save her ally, the vote wasn’t close. Bingham was eliminated by a unanimous 13-0 vote, with even Reilly ultimately voting against her closest friend in the house.
As Bingham left the “Big Brother” house, she made her feelings about Heagerty’s HOH reign clear, telling her fellow houseguests: “Get Jimmy out! He’s a snake and a liar!”
The remaining 15 houseguests will continue competing for the $750,000 grand prize as the season progresses, with new alliances and strategies forming.
