‘Big Brother’ Alums Taylor Hale & Derrick Levasseur To Host New ‘BB’ Panel On CBS

“Big Brother” is celebrating its 25th anniversary in style.

This summer, past “Big Brother” winners Taylor Hale and Derrick Levasseur will co-host a biweekly series of panels titled “Big Brother: Unlocked.”

“Taylor and Derrick will guide viewers through never-before-seen broadcast footage, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes moments from inside the Big Brother house. Big Brother: Unlocked will feature recurring segments like ‘BB Fantasy Draft,’ ‘Big Move/Bad Move’ and ‘Binge Worthy or Cringe Worthy,'” CBS revealed in a press release on Tuesday.

But Taylor and Derrick aren’t the only two “Big Brother” players to return for “Big Brother: Unlocked.” The co-hosts will be joined by BB alumni and “mystery” celebrity guests to discuss all the Season 27 drama.

The first episode of “Big Brother: Unlocked” will premiere this Friday, July 25 at 8:00 p.m. Eastern Time on CBS and Paramount Plus.

Who Is Taylor Hale?

Taylor, a personal stylist from Detroit, Michigan, won Season 24 of “Big Brother” in 2022. Taylor had an especially difficult first week in the “Big Brother” house, which resulted in her almost being evicted in a week-one backdoor.

But, the former Miss Michigan turned her status as house scapegoat into a “sword,” pushing through despite targeted bullying to ultimately win the game in a vote of 8-1 against runner-up Monte Taylor.

Taylor made history as the first Black woman to win “Big Brother,” and even won the coveted title of “America’s Favorite Player.”

“I’ve gone through Twitter and seen the reactions to different moments in the house, and it’s been transformative to see and fully understand what my win has meant — not just for the game but for Black women, as well as all women, and for people who like the underdog,” Taylor told Business Insider shortly after her season ended.

Since “Big Brother 24,” Taylor works in the entertainment space as a host and red carpet interviewer, covering the Grammys earlier this year.

Who Is Derrick Levasseur?

Derrick won Season 16 of “Big Brother” in 2014. Derrick, a police detective from Rhode Island, was able to quickly establish control of the house alongside Cody Calafiore, who became his greatest ally.

The two formed “The Hitmen” alliance, successfully (and covertly) eliminating threats to their game throughout the season. In the end, Derrick and Cody survived to the final two, with Derrick taking the win in a jury vote of 7-2.

Derrick’s “claim to fame” in the Big Brother community is that he managed to avoid nomination until the final three – being the first in the show’s history to do so.

In February of this year, Derrick competed on popular reality series “The Traitors,” and was “murdered” by fellow “Big Brother” alum Danielle Reyes. Now, he produces the Detective Perspective podcast and co-hosts FOX’s “America’s Most Wanted: Missing Persons.”
