“Big Brother” alum Ovi Kabir and his longtime partner, content creator Hannah Claire Blackwell, exchanged vows in a two-day celebration that honored both of their cultural backgrounds.
The couple wed in Sevierville, Tennessee, with festivities that blended Kabir’s Bangladeshi heritage and Blackwell’s Southern roots.

The festivities began on Friday, Aug. 1, with a Gaye Holud — a traditional Bangladeshi pre-wedding event. The colorful gathering featured turmeric blessings, henna art, music, and dancing. Guests wore traditional South Asian attire, with Kabir in a panjabi and Blackwell in a lehenga.
“To me, this marriage is more than a celebration. It’s a stamp of affirmation,” Kabir told People. “It’s the moment the words ‘I love you’ that I’ve said to her again and again are now written into history for all to see.”
The next day, on Saturday, Aug. 2, the couple hosted a romantic Western-style wedding at the same venue’s Grand Hall. Surrounded by the Great Smoky Mountains, the ceremony featured floral décor in soft hues of pink and purple and a musical procession inspired by the couple’s favorite childhood memories.

Their guest list included fellow “Big Brother” stars Tommy Bracco, Kat Dunn, Cliff Hogg, and Nicole Fontanez, among others. The ceremony, officiated by a close friend of the couple, included personal reflections from Kabir’s brother, Ontor, and Blackwell’s brother-in-law, Adam Kemper.“
All I want is to keep living the life I’ve been living over the last eight and a half years with Ovi,” Blackwell shared with People. “It just means so much to finally cement that in front of all of our family and friends and do it in a way that fuses our cultures.”
Guests dined on a curated menu of Bangladeshi and Southern dishes, including goat curry, butter chicken, fried chicken, and cornbread. Dessert offerings included gulab jamun, kheer, chocolate bread pudding, and a three-tier wedding cake.
For their first dance, the couple swayed to Panic! At The Disco’s “The End of All Things.” Later in the evening, Blackwell changed into a South Asian-inspired saree look by GL GarlateDesign. Music continued with DJ Dunny and a live performance by King Ghoul, a rock band fronted by Kabir’s high school friend Andy Allen.
Their new cooking show, “What’s Cookin’,” will premiere on Food Network and stream on HBO Max this fall.
