Ryan Seacrest is a busy man, by anyone’s account. Besides being the host of “American Idol” and “Wheel of Fortune,” he hosts the weekly radio countdown show, “American Top 40.” He is also the founder of Ryan Seacrest Productions and the Ryan Seacrest Foundation. He’s so busy professionally that it’s easy to wonder how he has time for anything else.

Despite this, he’s had several public long-term relationships, including Julianne Hough and Shayna Taylor. His last, with model Aubrey Paige, ended in April 2024 after three years of dating. At the time, a source told “People” that “They plan to stay in each other’s lives as good friends and support one another’s endeavors.”

More than a year later, Seacrest revealed to co-hosts Sisanie and Tanya Rad on their podcast that getting over his exes is harder for him than it is for them.
An ‘Ick Album’: Tanya Rad’s Unusual Breakup Tip
“It takes a long time for one of us here to get over an ex,” Seacrest said on the July 25 episode of “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”
“One of us,” Sisanie replied, chuckling, while Rad smiled.
“It takes a long time,” he continued. “I don’t know if you ever really do get over them.”
“Yeah, you do, Rad interrupted.
“I guess you guys have,” Seacrest replied. “So, what’s the tip?”
“So, after you go through a breakup, I feel like you only focus on the good,” Rad explained. “You think about all the good times. Like, you just kind of have this fantasy. You don’t ever think about the stuff that went wrong or was bad, right? So here’s what you do.”
She went on to suggest putting any embarrassing, weird, gross, or unflattering pictures of your ex into a photo album. Then, when you start feeling wistful about the end of the relationship, open the album.
“And you look at those photos, and you’re just so icked out,” she declared. “You don’t remember the good, you’re just, like, ‘Ick.'”
But Seacrest objected to this plan, and his logic was pretty sound.
“I don’t take pictures like that of the people I date,” Seacrest replied. “Who does that? Who has a photo album of icky pictures no one wants? Those are deleted.”
“It’s not like you have 50 photos, you have, like, 10 there,” Rad said defensively. “But you look at those photos and you are, like, ‘ick.'”
Ryan Seacrest’s Unique Twist on the ‘Ick’ Book
Seacrest may not want to keep embarrassing pictures of exes, but he did offer a twist on Rad’s idea.
Another way to do that is just write down the things that drive you crazy in the relationship,” he said. “So that when you do break up, you’ve got a record of them.”
“I’m not saying you’re pessimistic, but it could happen,” he added. “And you’ve got that list you can read back and go, ‘You know what?” Because you’re right, you only remember the rosy times. The nice times.”
