“American Idol” season 23 top 10 finalist Kolbi Jordan is still super close with Jamal Roberts after appearing on the show together. Jordan took to Instagram on August 20 to share a sweet series of pics of her and the “Idol” winner at various events over the weekend.
Jordan and Roberts both appeared at the Stellar Gospel Music Awards in Nashville, Tennessee and performed at City Winery beforehand. Jordan’s pics and clips show her and Roberts dressed to the nines for the awards show and harmonizing beautifully together during their performance.
“What can I say? This is my brother! Thank you @officialjamalroberts for inviting me to be apart of the magic you created at City Winery,” Jordan captioned her post. “I love you big. ♥️ Pure connection. Family. ♥️”
Roberts replied in the comments, “Love you sis ♥️♥️”
Kolbi Jordan Gave a Shout-Out to Her Glam Squad
Jordan looked gorgeous for the Stellar Awards, and she was gracious enough to give credit where it was due. The soulful singer shared a special Instagram post dedicated to her hair and makeup team that helped her get ready for the event.
“I would be insane to not say thank you to the ones that helped make me look beautiful this past weekend,” she wrote. “Thank you for helping to make me look Stellar on Stellar Awards Day!”
She concluded with, “Y’all… God is good. BOOK THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you see that face and this hair?!?”
Jordan & Roberts Once Got Pedicures Together
Speaking of glam, back in June Jordan, Roberts, and “Idol” season 23 alum Gabby Samone got together to film a Facebook Live while getting pedicures together.
Roberts joked that the girls “dragged him” to the salon but admitted he was happy to be there. “My feet did need a little TLC — I’ve been running for Jesus a long time!” the singer quipped.
But most of all, fans were thrilled to see the trio hanging out together beyond the “Idol” stage, and it seems they all continue to support each other. The season 23 contestants seemed to form a particularly special bond, and love to pump each other up on social media.
Another “Idol” contestant Canaan James Hill, who was eliminated from the competition at the same time as Jordan, commented on yet another post featuring her time at the Stellar Awards with a super sweet message.
“Yes Big Sister!” Hill wrote. “Looking beautiful as always so good seeing you (A Queen!) in a room you most definitely belong in I can’t wait for when we are hosting and performing on those stages 😌🤯💯🤝🏾‼️”
