As former “American Idol” judge Katy Perry embarked on her The Lifetimes Tour in the summer of 2025, she gave fans a sneak peek at the next generation of pop music. In an Instagram video posted on August 6, Perry’s daughter, Daisy, put on an adorable puppet show complete with singing. Her song of choice? Perry’s 2010 hit, “Peacock.”

Daisy’s audience applauded her performance, and some fans are doing the same. “We can already see that Daisy is going to follow in her mother’s footsteps and become a great singer,” one fan wrote in the comments section. The post also includes other scenes from Perry’s tour, such as still images and videos of recent concerts.

Daisy Inspired The Hit Single ‘Lifetimes’

Perry generally keeps Daisy out of the spotlight, but she’s made her love for her daughter very public. As Hello! reported, the “Firework” singer proudly shared how Daisy has inspired some of her music back in 2024. While promoting the then-upcoming single, “Lifetimes,” Perry explained that the song draws on her relationship with her daughter.

“‘Lifetimes’ is a song that I wrote inspired by my daughter,” Perry explained. “Obviously, I tell her, ‘I love you,’ before she goes to bed every night. But I’ve started telling her, ‘Will you find me in every lifetime?’ And she says, ‘Yes.'” Perry also makes reference to Daisy in the song “Wonder,” which appears on the same album. “Stay free, little Daisy,” she sings. “Don’t let the envious ones say that you’re just a weed.”

Perry Shares Her Daughter With Ex Orlando Bloom

Daisy was born in August 2020 and is Perry’s only child. She shares her daughter with former long-time partner Orlando Bloom. Despite the pair calling it quits during Perry’s summer 2025 tour, they appeared committed to co-parenting. In a statement TODAY shared, representatives laid out the couple’s plan. “They will continue to be seen together as a family,” the statement read. “As their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect.”

Although the future of her family may not look exactly as she pictured it, Perry clearly enjoys being a parent. “It’s amazing,” the singer told Variety when asked about motherhood in 2021. “Children are such a gift. I get why people have been doing this for eons and keep doing it.”
