Katy Perry Talks About Being a Mom to Daughter Daisy

Former “American Idol” Judge Katy Perry is opening up about being a mom to daughter Daisy.

Perry told Access Hollywood that she is going to start her tour earlier because of the 4-year-old girl.

“She’ll be there for part of it, but I think what I’m really going to implement is an earlier time show,” said Perry, to Access Hollywood. “Now that I understand it — all the dynamics and all of the different variables and layers of bringing your kids out to the show.”

Katy Perry Explained That Sometimes Her Daughter Will Have ‘Some Sugar at the Show’ With Other Kids

Perry explained that her daughter will likely have sugar and be with her friends at the show, so doing it earlier makes more sense.

“Sometimes those shows are on weekdays, and they go to school the next day, and they probably will have some sugar at the show, and they’ll be with their friends, and everybody will be super excited, so it’s going to be an 8:30 show,” she said.

Perry described Dairy as “very introverted.”

Perry opened up about her new tour to People Magazine. “We always put together a message in this huge Disneyland-on-wheels type tour. There’s costume changes, there’s acts, there’s dancers, there’s musicians. I’ll fly around the room,” she said to People. “There’s no bad seat in the house. I’m going to get close to everyone at some point.”

She added to People, “I will be introducing people to a few new songs, and I’m calling it Lifetimes Tour because I’m celebrating the whole lifetime of songs thus far,” and said she will “dust off some deep cuts.” She posted the tour schedule on her Instagram page.

Katy Perry Described Daisy as ‘Not Shy,’ Saying the Child ‘Loves to Sing’

Perry said her past “vibe” was to start her shows later, but that was before she had a daughter who needed to get to bed before it was too late.

“She’s not shy and she loves to sing,” said Perry to the show. “I literally was checking my phone five minutes ago and she has a ukulele in her hands. So she loves music and she loves what mommy does and daddy does and she loves seeing us happy.”

Perry shares Daisy with Orlando Bloom. She stopped short of saying that Daisy would appear on stage during the tour, however.
