Jordin Sparks: ‘Idol’ Winner Posts Surprise Career Update

Jordin Sparks has enjoyed a successful career since winning “American Idol.” Now, the “No Air” singer has revealed she’s building something big in August 2025. Sparks took to Instagram to share a photo of herself alongside her two young teammates for Fox’s “LEGO Masters Jr.” This new series is a spin-off of the original “LEGO Masters” and gives young enthusiasts a chance to put their skills to the test.

“These budding builders are going after their dreams one LEGO brick at a time… with a little help from me!” Sparks captioned the post. Fans in the comments section were fired up about the dynamic trio. “Soooo excited to finally watch the 3 of you make magic!!” one wrote. The series kicks off on August 18th.

Sparks Joins a Star-Studded Roster of Celebrity Advisors

Sparks isn’t the only famous face fans will see in the news series. As Variety reported, every pair of young builders has a celebrity advisor, and they come from across the entertainment industry. “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams will appear in the series, as well as “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” actor Ravi V. Patel.

The list doesn’t stop there; Allison Sweeney and Andy Richter will also serve as team advisors, and Kelly Osbourne is taking up hosting duties. The series has a four-week run and offers a $50,000 prize to the winning team. “Putting LEGO together is calming for me,” Sparks said of her own building experiences. “I really enjoy working and crafting with my hands.” She also shared that playing with LEGO bricks is part of how she has bonded with her niece.

The Singer Has Several Other Projects in The Works

The building won’t stop with “LEGO Masters Jr.” for Sparks. As The Hollywood Reporter shared, she has several other projects brewing. “There’s a Christmas movie coming,” Sparks said on the BET Awards red carpet. “And I have a podcast that I’m starting, called ‘What’s Your Spark?’ It’s in the early stages.”

Of course, Sparks is a singer first, and fans may get to enjoy some new tracks in the foreseeable future. “I’ve been working on music,” she said. “I have some songs I want to release for the summer. But I can’t pick, I have a list!” Although she didn’t provide any release dates for these upcoming projects, its clear we’ll be seeing a lot more of Sparks this year.
