“American Idol” season 23 runner-up John Foster is having a fun, beachy summer with his girlfriend Brooklyn Bourque. The adorable couple posed for a sweet selfie on August 13 while enjoying a tropical vacation.
“We’re enjoying round two of the beach—this time in the Bahamas! Thank you, @americanidol and @abc, for this memorable trip on the @disneycruiseline,” Foster captioned the photo, referring to the trip he won as part of being a finalist on “Idol.”
He continued, “Most of all, thank you, God, for this beautiful life!”
Back in June Foster posted another cute Instagram pic of he and Bourque on the Florida coast. The couple were all smiles, donning matching sunglasses. “@brooklyn_bourque and I are sending all of our family love from Navarre Beach!,” Foster wrote. “We’re enjoying some relaxation in between working to get some great things going!”
Bourque Stayed by John Foster’s Side During His ‘Idol’ Journey
Throughout Foster’s impressive “American Idol” run, Bourque was his biggest cheerleader. On May 4, the top 8 contestants were revealed, and of course Foster was among them. Bourque was bursting with pride the next day when she posted a photo of the couple with the caption, “MY GUY🤩🤩 so proud of you, I love you😚 #TOP8.”
A few days later, Bourque shared yet another pic with her man and included a video clip of herself cheering wildly for him in the “Idol” audience.
“Wow I’m still reminiscing this special moment!!” Bourque wrote in the caption. “I feel so blessed to love and be loved by someone who is so genuine, thoughtful, and so so very sweet. You make me so happy all I can do is jump up and down!! I just love our love☺️”
Foster Has Been Making Huge Career Strides Since ‘Idol’
Since being announced the runner-up on “American Idol” in May, Foster has been performing regularly, twice at the Grand Old Opry. The country crooner took the Opry stage for the second time on his 19th birthday July 9. Not only was the performance a huge honor, it was also a huge hit with fans who gave Foster a standing ovation.
The singer was overcome with emotion, captioning a carousel of Instagram pics, “I’m glad I was able to hold back my tears until I was walking off stage—because the moment I stepped out of view, they started flowing.” The photos Foster shared featured him both onstage and backstage, and naturally Bourque was there to support him as always.
