Jelly Roll Breaks New Ground With Major Career Move

Jelly Roll has been keeping his professional life very busy lately, as his career seems to be on fire. That doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon either, as the “American Idol” artist-in-residence made a big announcement about his upcoming performances.

Jelly Roll Will Be Spreading His Wings

It looks like Jelly Roll will be branching out to some uncharted territory for the country singer. Jelly Roll and Shaboozey will both be headlining the first-ever Strummingbord Festival in Australia, Billboard reported.

The performances will take place on October 25 in the Sunshine Coast, November 1 in Newcastle, and November 2 in Perth. These shows will be the first-ever performances in Australia for both Jelly Roll and Shaboozey.

New Territory for Jelly Roll

Besides the performances in Australia being a first for Jelly Roll, traveling the world is new to him in general. He told Billboard in June 2023 that a felony charge from the age of 16 restricted his ability to get a passport for years.

Even when he was finally able to get a passport, he said it was still hard to travel abroad. He said, “The trick is when America finally says, ‘We’ll let you leave,’ the amount of countries that won’t let you come in … We had to cancel my London debut show.”

Now that he has the passport in hand, Jelly Roll is making the most of it. When looking at his schedule for the rest of 2025, it shows that every performance is scheduled to take place outside of the United States.

He is set to perform on Post Malone’s tour as it makes its way through Europe. The tour is set to have shows in Germany, Italy, France, England, the Netherlands, Spain, and Portugal. Jelly Roll will also be making his way to Canada and Switzerland to perform before the Strummingbird dates in Australia.

Australian Fans Are Pumped

Pre-sale for the Strummingbird concerts begins on August 7. General ticket sales start on August 8, which has left many fans excited to see the two performers make their way to Australia for the first time.

On the Strummingbird Instagram post making the announcement, one fan said, “Let’s go!! 🔥,” and another added, “Can’t wait 🔥🔥.”

With this being the first-ever Strummingbird Festival, one follower said, “So epic. What a first lineup to kick the door down!!!”

One other fan said, “PUMPED to say the very least🤩.”
