Jamal Roberts Celebrates Daughter’s Milestone With the Cutest Pic

Jamal Roberts is the winner of “American Idol” season 23, but he is first and foremost a girl dad. The singer took to Instagram on August 11 to post photos of his youngest daughter Gianna marking her turning 100 days old.

In the pics, baby Gianna is dressed up like a little old lady, complete with a wig, glasses, and a string of pearls. To top off the cuteness, she’s posing in a rocking chair with yarn for knitting on her lap. “100 days old 😩😍” Roberts captioned the pic, adding the hashtag “girldadforlife.”

Fans flooded the comments gushing over how adorable Gianna is and how hilarious the photos are. Roberts fellow “Idol” contestants chimed in as well with Breanna Nix and Gabby Samone posting heart and laughing emojis.

Jamal Roberts is the father of three girls, Harmoni, 6, Lyrik, 4, and Gianna who was born while he was competing on “American Idol.” Despite being so young, the girls were excited when Roberts was voted the winner of season 23.

“All they know is ‘Daddy win.’ That’s what they say. I was like, ‘Yeah, daddy won, baby,’” he told Us Weekly. “[They] don’t really get the concept of what was going on. They just knew I was gone [for] a long time. And that I [won].”

Roberts is clearly a devoted dad, and his love for his daughters is on full display in the video for his latest single “Mississippi.” The video features Roberts dancing and playing with the older girls and feeding baby Gianna in a cozy chair.

What Comes Next for Jamal Roberts?

Roberts is enjoying plenty of musical success since his “Idol” win. His debut single “Heal” has over a million streams on Spotify and his singles “He’s Preparing Me” and “Mississippi” have struck emotional chords with fans.

But Roberts is considering changing things up a bit in terms of genre in the future. “I plan on doing pop and hip-hop,” the singer recently shared with Billboard. “I plan on doing it all. I’m always going to stick with my gospel roots, but you can’t reach people singing gospel all the time.”

As for an album, Roberts is taking it easy right now, basking in the love he’s getting from fans and spending time with his family. But he assured fans that more music is on the way. “Even though ‘Mississippi’ is just coming out, trust me, we’ve got more stuff cooking and it’s going to be amazing,” Roberts said.
