Fans who can’t get enough of the incredible talent that rose to the top of the heap on “American Idol” season 23 will have one more chance to see many of them together. Many of the top finalists of 2025 will be among the “American Idol” stars taking the stage together in Nashville on June 4.
The night before CMA Fest begins, 19 Recordings — the record label partner of “American Idol” — will host its annual 19/BMG Takeover concert at 6th & Peabody, including performances by season 23 winner Jamal Roberts, runner-up John Foster, and third place finisher Breanna Nix.
A Dozen ‘American Idol’ Stars Will Perform at Nashville Event
Also appearing at the one-time concert are season 23 finalists Thunderstorm Artis, Gabby Samone, Mattie Pruitt, and Kolbi Jordan. All but Jordan released singles with 19 Recordings on the eve of the May 18 finale.
The only top 2025 contestant missing from the bunch, many fans noted on social media, is 18-year-old Slater Nalley, who placed in the top five but just signed a management deal with an agency separate from 19 Recordings, potentially precluding him from appearing.
Other “American Idol” stars scheduled to appear at the concert are season 22’s runner-up Will Moseley and finalist Ajii, season 21’s third-place finisher Colin Stough and finalist Wé Ani, as well as season 20 runner-up HunterGirl.
All five of those recent finalists have signed deals with 19 Recordings or its parent company, BMG, and are actively releasing new music with the label. Moseley, for instance, released his single “Mechanic” in mid-May and Stough released “White Trash.”
Meanwhile, season 21’s Haven Madison, who just scored her first Top 40 hit with “Castle,” is still signed to BMG but isn’t scheduled to appear at the Takeover concert. The same goes for season 19 winner Chayce Beckham, who’s currently on tour and will be playing in Delaware on June 4.
The evening, slated to last from 4 to 8 p.m., will be emceed by Josh Randall, a senior casting producer for “American Idol” and the warmup host for the show’s studio audiences.
Where Else Can You See Recent ‘American Idol’ Finalists Perform?
In addition to the Nashville Takeover night, many of the “American Idol” alums appearing there are also hitting the road for concerts across the U.S.
Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts will perform a hometown concert in Meridian, Mississippi, on May 31. He has said on social media that his team is plotting out tour dates, but concerts already scheduled include the City Winery in Nashville on August 15 and a fundraiser in Biloxi on September 19.
His fellow finalists John Foster and Breanna Nix will both make their Grand Ole Opry debuts after the 19/BMG Takeover concert. Nix will appear in the circle on June 5 with artists including Jelly Roll and Steven Curtis Chapman, while Foster will appear on June 7 with multiple country legends including Craig Morgan and Bill Anderson.
Moseley, meanwhile, has concert dates lined up throughout the summer. Stough has a couple of appearances scheduled for July,
