Carrie Underwood Rocks Out With 10-Year-Old Son at Concert Date Night

Carrie Underwood may be a country music queen, but we bet her oldest son Isaiah thinks she rocks.

The American Idol judge took the ten-year-old to see rock band Linkin Park during their Nashville stop on their “From Zero World Tour” at Bridgestone Arena August 21.

Carrie shared the pair’s night in her Instagram stories

The post featured both photos and videos of the stage taken from her vantage point, likely in one of Bridgestone’s private boxes.

“I’ve been a fan since high school and now Isaiah is a huge fan!” she wrote over a photo of the band onstage. “We had a blast making some memories!”

Carrie Underwood’s Love of Rock n’ Roll Runs Deep

Carrie Underwood may have found mega-success in country music, but she’s never been shy about voicing her love for rock n’ roll.

The “American Idol” champion told Audacy’s “Totally Private,” “I grew up listening to everything. I do have quite the affinity for rock music and metal, and I just love the energy, I think, more than anything. “

Through the years, Carrie has performed with rock n’ roll legends including Aerosmith, Guns n’ Roses and Papa Roach.

The eight-time Grammy-winner took the stage with Papa Roach at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas while she was there for her own residency, “Reflections.”

And Carrie was quick to hand out the compliments to Linkin Park, especially their new lead singer Emily Armstrong. Carrie captioned a video of Armstrong singing with “@emilyarmstrong’s voice is siiiiiiick!”

Carrie Underwood and Son Isaiah Have Been Making Music Together For Years

The Linkin Park concert isn’t the first time Carrie Underwood has shared her love of music with her oldest son.

Carrie and husband Mike Fisher share 10-year-old Isaiah and 6-year-old Jacob.

Back in 2020, Isaiah lent his singing talent to his mom on her recording of “Little Drummer Boy.”

“I went in and started recording that song and I recorded it by myself and kind of as we were rolling into it I was like, ‘All right, I have this crazy idea and it might not work and he might not even want to do it, but what if he came in and sang with me?’” Carrie told Parade at the time.

“And I think everybody thought, oh, yeah, he can just kind of, you know, sing along with you. And in my brain it was a proper duet. So I’m like, ‘No, here’s my idea, just roll with me and it might not work at all and that’s OK, but we can give it a shot’ because he’s just who I think of when I sing that song. His little face pops into my head,” Carrie continued.

In the end, the collaboration on “Little Drummer Boy” was a memory-maker, just like the mother-son field trip to see Linkin Park.

Carrie said, “So we got him in and he just did such a great job. And to get to have that moment with him and share that with him … and I now have that forever. I have his little voice. It’s going to be with me forever. I get to listen to it whenever I want and that’s such a gift in itself.”
