Canaan James Hill was announced as being a part of the top 12 on “American Idol” 2025 on April 27th, but tonight was another elimination night. Did Hill make it through this week on the show? Is Hill a part of the top 10 for season 23?

The answer is … Yes! He made it into the top 10.

Hill Is a 17-Year-Old Gospel Singer

According to Desert News, Hill is a Gospel singer who aspires to be a preacher one day. Hill hails from Dallas, Texas and received the third platinum ticket to Hollywood of the season.

Hill told the judges at his audition on the show that he actually graduated high school early so that he could pursue his preaching dreams. But, it looks like he’s also following even more dreams lately … appearing as a contestant in one of the most famous singing competitions in the world.
