With NBC airing a special Golden Buzzers episode of “AGT” tonight, we thought we’d catch everyone up on which acts have received a Golden Buzzer on “America’s Got Talent” season 20 so far.
We have seen some incredible performers so far this season, and so far, nine of them have received Golden Buzzers and a spot on the “AGT” 2025 live shows. Check out those nine acts and their “AGT” audition videos below.
1. Lightwire – Episode 1
This act, which combines LED displays and light-up dance suits, was founded in Brazil by two brothers. This is definitely a unique act, and for their audition, they created a rainforest environment to pay tribute to the Brazilian Amazon. Simon Cowell called it “one of the most beautiful, stunning acts” he’s seen, which led to Cowell giving them the first Golden Buzzer of season 20.
2. Jourdan Blue – Episode 1
Jourdan Blue is a 23-year-old street performer from New Orleans. He sang a rendition of “Breakeven” by The Script that had everyone in the building on their feet. While all the judges loved Blue, it was Howie Mandel who hit the Golden Buzzer and sent Jourdan straight to the live shows on “AGT” 2025.
3. Messoudi Brothers – Episode 2
The second week of auditions brought another Golden Buzzer, this time for the Messoudi Brothers. They basically stripped while juggling knives, but then put on each other’s outfits. Cowell said it was the only juggling act that he’s ever liked. Then Mel B and Sofia Vergara argued, as they both wanted to hit their Golden Buzzer, but it was Mel B who got to it first.
4. Charity Lockhart – Episode 3
Mel B was back with another Golden Buzzer during episode 3, this time for a nervous mother of two who had to start over with a second song choice after Simon wasn’t a fan of the first one. It worked, as the audience loved it and so did Mel B, who hit the Golden Buzzer for her.
5. Funkateer Dancers – Episode 4
This group of men were high school friends in Detroit 45 years ago. They formed a dance group at the time to enter their school’s talent show. Enter “AGT” season 20, as they reunited for the show and got everyone on their feet while dancing to a Rick James song. The judges all loved the Funkateers, but it was Terry Crews who hit the Golden Buzzer for them, sending them directly to the live shows.
6. Duo Stardust – Episode 5
This duo, which combines skating and aerial tricks, actually auditioned for “Britain’s Got Talent” not too long ago. They didn’t make it through, but did take some constructive criticism from Simon Cowell, and it worked; he was impressed. But it was Vergara who beat him to the punch, sending this lovey-dovey duo to the live shows.
7. Birmingham Youth Choir – Episode 6
The youth choir from Birmingham, Alabama, decided to audition for “America’s Got Talent” 2025 in order to bring more positivity and honor to their city. Their harmonies were on-point, they had so much energy, and their vocals were amazing. Simon said he was honored they would come to the show for the 20th anniversary and because of that, he gave them the Golden Buzzer.
8. Jessica Sanchez – Episode 7
Jessica Sanchez first appeared on season 1 of “AGT,” where she made it to the semifinals that season. She also happens to be the runner-up on season 11 of “American Idol.” Now she is married and pregnant, but still belting out amazing music. She wowed the judges, especially Vergara, who hit the Golden Buzzer for her.
9. The BoykinZ – Episode 7
During that same episode, a group of Gen Z sisters took the stage, blending pop, hip-hop, and country to create a performance that got everyone on their feet. As Terry Crews, who happened to hit the Golden Buzzer for them, said, they were like The Supremes meets country.
Howie Mandel is the only judge or host to have a Golden Buzzer remaining to hand out. With the “AGT” auditions returning next week, will he hand it out then?
